The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a diverse group of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
